Fresh Girl

Got a little fresh girl that lives on the block
I wish she would try
To drop it like its hot
Hopin my boys don't
Think that's cute
Hopin lil jae don't try
And follow suit.

(Side note - she just said to this dude, "see I hate Puerto Rican people." - that stuff is learned!)

She also started to tell the Puerto Rican (if that's really what he was) boy, "you need to go home, cause we're black and you're..." I was like, "Stop right there!" I went on to explain that God made us all and we need to learn to love everyone. The very same girl called Miyo - big lips, to which I told her sternly, "no name-calling!" Junior chicken-head in the making, but I gotta show her God's love!

I gotta pray that God gives me wisdom, love, and courage to deal with these little kids. I gotta take more time to be outside and be a presence instead of just letting them go outside and deal with stuff on their own.

  1. your label says it all... ghetto kids pray! yes, you gotta get out there, get in their world, get in their faces.. I love the look kids give one another when they realize I'm watching, their eyes and body language says "uh oh,here comes mrs blocker, always blocking our fun" but they know I don't play... What's missing is more people who actually care about their own children to get involved in the lives of other children... I guess it's all a trickle down effect of bad/careless parenting, and thinking that giving lol Johnny new sneaks is netter than giving lil Johnny love and guidance... smh @puerto rican, go home cus we black....
